You could be a part of the generation that stands up to cytomegalovirus (CMV), a highly contagious viral infection that can harm an unborn child.
You may not notice you have CMV when you’re first infected, but CMV could lead to serious issues if you have children someday. If you pass CMV to your unborn child, it can result in birth defects such as hearing loss, vision loss, and cerebral palsy.1

Clinical trials are important for tomorrow’s breakthroughs. Without clinical trial participants, researching potential new vaccines would not be possible.
The mRNA-1647 trial vaccine is a messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine for CMV that has been studied in people ages 16 and older in current and past clinical trials. To understand more about the trial vaccine’s effects in kids and teens ages 9 to 15, medical researchers are comparing this age group’s reactions to those in participants ages 16 to 25, like you. Information from this age group will help researchers more quickly compare what we see in the younger age group.
Participants ages 16 to 25 who participate will get 1 dose level that has already been tested in their age group. They will get the same dose of mRNA-1647 in all 3 injections.
